HPLC Column with ELI-chip, zero dead volume

HPLC Column with the ELI-chip as ionization source. By placing the compact ELI-chip directly at the end of the column, unnecessary dead volume is eliminated, effectively minimizing peak broadening. The eluent, which typically is low in salts, has a low electric conductivity, something that is problematic for direct ionization methods such as ESI. Electroless ionization (ELI) however, with its fundamentally different ionization mechanism works best for such solvents. The number of holes on the chip and the liquid pressure can be adapted to reach the desired flow rate.

It is not advised to reuse or clean the nozzle. For the syringe we recommend the HSW luer lock syringe. Use the syringe holder to prevent the nozzle from detaching.

Syringe holder

For easier spraying and to ensure the ELI-nozzle does not detach from the syringe one needs to use the syringe holder. This syringe holder is for luer lock syringes of approximately 90 mm long.  Contact us if you need a custom syringe holder for a different size syringe.
